INDIVIDUAL COACHING SESSIONS:
»I coach most of my clients virtually on Zoom, a videoconferencing platform. For young people, this form of communication feels comfortable and natural, as they’ve been interacting with screens their whole lives. I also offer in-person coaching in the North Charlotte, North Carolina area.
»Sessions are 60 minutes.
»I offer single sessions and 12-session packages.
»Single sessions are great for someone who wants to get a feel for coaching.
»They’re are also ideal for the client who has one clear, targeted issue to address, and who can implement behavioral and thought change independently, without support.
»For single sessions I use an organic approach to coaching, focusing on the issue or concern presented by the client.
»Packages are ideal for the client who seeks a positive transformation in their life.
»Packages include one session a week for twelve weeks, plus communication via text or email.
»Unlike the organic approach used in single sessions, packages allow for a deep exploration of the client’s life and happiness.
»We start with a contentment-assessment on the client’s current life, then move on to discovering what her or she truly values, and what he or she most deeply desires, both today and in the future.
»We uncover the beliefs, circumstances and other blocks that have stood in the client’s way thus far.
»We create clear, doable goals to start moving toward that happy; we use accountability tools to ensure each goal is met.
»The client learns proven methods for tackling the issues that used to hinder him or her, then puts them into practice, knowing that I’m right there to coach (or catch!) them as they take those first steps.
»As the client gains skills, strengths and happiness around the “big” blocks, we continue discover and tackle the finer issues
»As the package draws to a close, we look back at where the client started, and compare it to where he or she is now. The emphasis is on the fact that the client made these changes his or herself. The revelation is, “OMG! I did the impossible!”
»After our final session, I send the client a record of their “greatest hits,” a list of quotes–his or her own words–taken from each session, illustrating their process of change, their strengths and insights, and the tools he or she uncovered, that can be put to use in the future.
»Coaching begins with a free 20-minute consultation between the parent and myself. We discuss what’s going on with the teen, and whether my coaching and the teen’s needs are a good fit.
»If the parent and I feel there’s a fit, and the teen is on board with coaching, I provide the parent with my availability, the parent makes payment, and we begin creating happiness and change.
»My rates range from $125 to $150 per session, and include text or email communication with the teen between sessions.
